Moose Lodge 216 Rules House Rules The Social Quarters Manager or their designated Stewards will be responsible to the House Committee to see that the following Rules and Regulations are being strictly enforced at all times.
Social Quarters hours of operation will be posted at the front door of the Social Quarters. Admittance of members and their qualified guests are to be strictly enforced according to the Rules and Regulations as posted. No member will be admitted to the Lodge or Social Quarters without a current membership card in his or her possession. No member or guest will be allowed in the building if intoxicated. The judgment of the Social Quarters Manager or their authorized Stewards will rule on these matters when they arise. If the Manager or Steward that is on duty refuses a member and/or guest service, he or she must leave the premises immediately.
The Manager or Steward on duty will give call at the bar fifteen (15) minutes before the posted closing hour and ten (10) minutes before a Lodge meeting. There will be no exceptions.
The Social Quarters Manager or Stewards will be on duty thirty (30) minutes before the Social Quarters opens for business and thirty (30) minutes after the closing hour, to allow members to dispose of drinks purchased during last call. No mixed drinks or alcoholic beverage of any kind will be carried from the building. (Exception - a personal bottle, in a bag.)
All games will be played in the Game Room or Multi-Purpose Room and not in the Lounge area. Dominos may be played in the Lounge if it is not disruptive to others.
On nights that a band has been employed to provide music in the Social Quarters, we will allow no other musical instruments. (Examples: spoons, harmonicas, etc.)
The restricted areas in the parking lot are to be observed as reserved parking areas. Anyone that parks in these areas, other than those we have authorized, is subject to having their vehicle towed.
Social Quarters Rules and RegulationsThe House Committee operates the Social Quarters under authority of the Constitution and General Laws of the Loyal Order of Moose.
All members of the Loyal Order of Moose, in good standing, will be admitted to the Social Quarters and a qualified guest may be admitted as herein provided.
- A qualified guest is as follows:
- a member in good standing of the Women of the Moose;
- a good standing members' family, under 21 years of age;
- the lady friend of unmarried members; and
- a prospective member as provided for in Section 92.2 of the General Laws.
Family members, the lady friend of unmarried members, and prospective members must leave when the member leaves.
Only Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose members may make purchases.
Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
Gentlemanly and ladylike (orderly) conduct is required of all persons in the Lodge and Social Quarters, at all times.
No person in a state of intoxication will be admitted. The Social Quarters Steward is authorized to refuse to serve anyone, at any time.
Loud, profane, or obscene language will not be tolerated in the Social Quarters or Social Quarters, at any time.
Members are required to show their membership card upon request of the House Committee or authorized Social Quarters employee.
The Social Quarters will only be open on the days and during the hours posted by the House Committee.
The Social Quarters will not be used for civic affairs functions unless prior approval is obtained from the Governor.
Being present in the Lodge building during closed hours is unlawful, for any member.
No person will be permitted to remain in the Social Quarters who violates the Dress Code, as set forth by the House Committee.
Any person violating these rules will be removed from the premises and will be denied the privileges of the Social Quarters, until reinstated by the House Committee.
Any member, other than a Law Enforcement Officer in the line of duty, having firearms or other lethal weapons on or in their possession, in the Social Quarters, parking lot, or any other Lodge property, will be expelled from the Loyal Order of Moose.
It shall be the duty of the members of the House Committee and authorized employees to strictly enforce these rules.
